— In tribute to longtime influence and inspiration, brilliant and practical pioneer of quantum mechanics, Michael Horne, co-inventor of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state, higher-dimensional multipartite quantum entanglement, together with Danny Greenberger and Anton Zeilinger, himself recognized as 2022 Nobel laureate in physics with Aspect and Clauser for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science.
